Everyday I wear a different face

My closet is full of faces
Faces I wore once

They don’t fit me now

She came in a plastic bag filled up with styrofoam balls
And never complains about the paint patches on my walls
Getting used to her never took more than a while
She brightens my every day with her very own push-button smile.

I never really wanted her to stay for more than a week
When I slapped her for being rude she turned me her other rosy cheek
The moments we share together are so incredibly intense
Having your own rubber doll now it makes so much more sense

She would lie down in a corner never taking up too much space
Her eyes only added to the beauty of her custom-made face
Software updates made her act the way I wanted to be
Oh Andie you were so much more than the perfect girl for me

But soon I grew tired of the sameness of your physique
And I came across a girl that went by the name of Mystique
More flexible and sensible than you ever were she was
All I had to do was to hit on you the button Pause

You thought you left behind

They say its all in your mind

You think it through
You thought you had already

There’s no ending this pain

But its the pain you like most
Like befriending a ghost

My Favorite Passtime

Send ‘OK’ to contacts with either boringly philosophical or utterly stupid or completely impossible or disgustingly plain status message.

So a typical conversation would be like:

me : OK
them : ?
me : your status message
them : Oh OK.
them : You know you don’t have to do that every time I put up a new status message. (if they are a regular ‘victim’)

Rather uninteresting one would presume. Try it once yourself, you’ll see how satisfying it is!

As an example here’s a part-snapshot of my gtalk contacts as on 9 am this morning. There’s all the flavours that you can imagine there and more.

Now philosophical messages can pass, its someone’s personal choice to put his or her philosophy on show as a ‘status’ message and another someone’s personal choice whether to agree or disagree with or be pissed off by the same.

But for the dude who sees a shark everyday I feel very sorry. I sincerely hope for once in the coming few months he’ll change his status message to “OMG I saw a person today”. Even better if it is “I saw a stripper today!! WOW!!”

“I am not here right now” is so web 2.0. Its passe. Everybody knows that’s a standard away status message you get when you use a non-standard IM client (like pidgin) for gtalking. Where’s the bling people?!

And when someone dishes out commands like “GO FIND OUT” at the top of his lungs’ capacity, you have no choice but to agree. Whether or not you do the chore is inconsequential because the dude is only on the IM client. At the max he’ll bitch slap you on facebook for not following his orders.

What’s not OK is when someone has “Go Fuck Yourself” as their status message. In such a situation your best retort is a simple copy-paste-enter sequence.

Another not OK situation is when someone’s jobless/unemployed. C’mon man, empathize. And if you can’t, just reply with the plain NOT OK. That’ll give the man some solace.

So go play this little stress busting, ice brrreaking game with your IM contacts right away. I know you want to.
